EMU Tourism Faculty, Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department Participates in a Gastronomy Competition

Eastern Mediterranean University, Tourism Faculty, Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department participated in the "1st Gastpro Team 2015 Gastronomy Competition". Organised by "Banquet Magazine", the said competition in which EMU participated as an invited contestant took place at Kyrenia Grand Pasha Hotel.

Participated by 12 famous names in the tourism sector, the said competition hosted EMU Tourism Faculty, Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department academic staff member and Cookbook Gourmand Award Winner famous chef Ömür Akkor as the jury member.

Around 400 participants attended the event which attracted popular interest from abroad. Students of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department had a chance to observe activities taking place within the framework of the event.

On the same night, a gala dinner was held at Bellapais Gardens Restaurant with the participation of sectoral representatives, jury members, EMU Tourism Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Hasan Kılıç and Vice Dean Assist. Prof. Dr. M. Güven Ardahan. At the end of the organisation, Prof. Dr. Kılıç and Assist. Prof. Dr. Ardahan thanked Banquet Magazine Director and Tourism Faculty Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department academic staff member Salih Doğrusöz and Bellapais Gardens hotel and culinary team.
