My research focuses on interdisciplinary sustainable conservation and social-ecological systems. I'm curious about how individuals set their values and mindset to act pro-environmentally and how these complex phenomena in individual level amplifies and results in conservation in community level. I had a chance to work with a team of professionals to develop an educational programme for critically endangered hawksbill turtles' visitors back in Persian Gulf using feedback loops. My interest in marine wildlife grew ever since, which led me to volunteer for turtle conservation projects in Cyprus.
I have worked in tourism sector since 2003 on a variety of positions from waiting tables to marketing and strategic planning deputy of an island in Kish Tourism Organization. In 2010, I decided to merge my professional experiences with my academic interests and ever since I'm in academia as a graduate researcher in Eastern Mediterranean University.
