The general
aim of this program is to provide a professional education
and training in a specific sector of tourism industry.
The program is focused on management and management
skills in leisure, sports and recreation and also
offers students an opportunity to gain an understanding
of the nature, scope, operation and international
developments in recreation and sports.
This program
provides high quality education in tourism industry.
It is both intellectually challenging and professionally
relevant to the field of leisure, sports and recreation.
This program also designed to develop the language
skills of the students. There are two off campus training
periods within a recreation organization in TRNC or/and
overseas. The placement provides an opportunity to
further develop their skills in real life context.
Its graduates may embark on management careers in
any sector of the recreation, leisure, and sports
industry - leisure centers, health and fitness clubs,
the ministry of sports, the ministry of tourism, and
resorts that provide recreational services as part
of their vacation packages are possible employers.
Other possibilities include agencies such as ski resorts,
beach resorts, casino resorts, summer camps, tourist
bureaus, commercial recreation enterprises, national
parks, amusement parks, and municipal recreation programs.
The aim
of this program is to provide high quality education
in tourism industry. It is both intellectually challenging
and professionally relevant to the field of leisure,
sports and recreation. The students must complete
138 credits and 120 working days of practical training
in an approved establishment for the graduation. The
students who successfully fulfill the requirements
of the program are awarded the degree of B.Sc. in
Recreation and Sports Management.
