Dear Students, Faculty Members, and Esteemed Stakeholders,
As the dean of Faculty of Tourism, EMU, I am honored to lead a team of dedicated academicians and to serve diverse and dynamic students from all around the world. Faculty of Tourism has been one of the long-established departments of Eastern Mediterranean University. There are around 6000 graduates to date and more than 1000 students currently enrolled in our faculty. Our faculty is committed to providing high-quality education that equips students with the skills, knowledge and experiences necessary to excel in the globally changing tourism industry. The longest running program of the faculty is Tourism Management which has emphasize academic excellence, worldwide research accomplishments and strong industry partnerships. Culinary Artsis another outstanding program we are running with an extended success in delivering practical classes, guided by renown gastronomy leaders. Our faculty has extended its perspective by adding Civil Aviation associate degree program in order to serve the globally extending tourism and aviation industry. All curriculums are designed to be comprehensive and adaptive, ensuring that our graduates are prepared for the challenges of tomorrow. We encourage collaboration, creativity and critical thinking—skills that are essential in shaping the future of global tourism and gastronomy industry. Faculty of Tourism has gained international recognition through various accreditations andacademic rankings. In 2024, EduRank has rated us as the 58 th of the world and 19 th among Europe in the field of "Hospitality Management”. Meanwhile, we are rated 44 th in the “Hospitality and Tourism Management” field in the Academic Ranking of World Universities by prestigious Shanghai Ranking in the year 2023. These are only few of our achievements in the academic environment. As Eastern Mediterranean University is located in North Cyprus, its rich cultural heritage and breathtaking landscapes offer the perfect setting for tourism education. We take pride in our unique location, allowing our students to engage with real-world tourism operations and gain hands-on experience in an environment that blends tradition with modernity. At the Faculty of Tourism, our students, industry partners, and academicians engage in high educational standards to build a sustainable and vibrant future for tourism in North Cyprus and beyond.
