New Postgraduate Program from The EMU Faculty of Tourism

The Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) Faculty of Tourism has brought a new postgraduate program to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC). The postgraduate program “Tourism Management” has been approved by the Higher Education Planning, Accreditation and Coordination Council as well as the Republic of Turkey Council of Higher Education. Applications for the Fall Semester of the 2018-2019 Academic Year have commenced for the postgraduate program with a thesis. According to a statement released by the EMU Institute of Graduate Studies and Research, students with an undergraduate diploma can apply for the new postgraduate programs until the 15th of September 2018 via the website http://grad.emu.edu.tr.

The EMU Faculty of Tourism, Tourism Management Turkish postgraduate program with a thesis, prepared in collaboration with the tourism industry will provide students the opportunity to become leading sector executives and academicians. The program aims to develop academic lives by ensuring that students gain top level administrative skills in tourism and hospitality management in addition to a command of research techniques and principles in order to become analytical thinking individuals with vision. The program includes elective courses concerned with current developments in the tourism sector such as tourism planning, service management and service quality in addition to mandatory courses such as marketing, management, accounting, finance and research methods. Students who successfully finish their courses will complete the program by carrying out work on a thesis with their advisor in a topic of their choice.
