Graduating from the Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU), Faculty of Tourism, Department of Tourism Management with undergraduate and master’s degrees, Çağatay Kaan Eren currently works as an Executive Meetings Manager at Destination DC, the official destination marketing organization for Washington, D.C.
Eren stated that strong academic education of EMU, combined with its international connections, greatly broadened his perspective on his career path following graduation. Emphasizing that actively engaging in student clubs significantly enhanced his leadership and organizational skills, Eren also noted that the experience he gained through EMU’s student clubs was instrumental in his success at the Turkish Culture Night event held in Washington, D.C.
“Trust Yourself and Be Confident in Showcasing Your Talents”
Making advices to the new graduates, Eren underscored the importance of following one’s passions, remaining open to learning and never underestimating the significance of small steps. Expressing that success is a product of patience and courage, Eren said; “Every achievement in life serves as a steppingstone to the next opportunity. Trust yourself and be confident in showcasing your talents. My greatest wish for you is to embark on a journey that brings both personal and professional fulfillment as you write your own story.” Eren concluded by reminding that Eastern Mediterranean University provides its students with a strong foundation for their future, and wished the new graduates great success in their career journeys.
